New PAN Card Date of Birth Proof Documents List
The Income Tax Department has made important changes regarding PAN Card Date of Birth Proof Documents for both New PAN applications and PAN Correction requests. Many applicants earlier used Aadhaar Card as proof of Date of Birth while applying for PAN Card services. However, under the updated rules, Aadhaar is no longer considered a valid standalone Date of Birth proof document for several PAN-related processes.
Because of this change, many people applying for a New PAN Card or correcting their existing PAN details are now confused about which documents should be submitted. Applicants whose PAN applications are pending, rejected, or under verification should carefully check the updated accepted DOB proof document list before submitting their application again.
To complete PAN Registration or PAN Correction successfully, applicants may now need to submit documents like a Birth Certificate, Passport, Driving License, Matriculation Certificate, Voter ID, Government ID Card, or a Notary Affidavit mentioning the correct Date of Birth. Using proper documents can help avoid rejection, verification mismatch, correction delays, and KYC-related issues in future.
