How to Get Approval and Certified for CSC Academy?

There is a process for registering a CSC as a CSC Digital Academy center:

=> Any Village Level Entrepreneur (VLE) interested in registering their CSC as a CSC Academy center must first check their eligibility based on the criteria set by the CSC Academy.

=> If the VLE’s CSC is already registered with the CSC, they can apply to become a CSC Academy center through the online registration process, which will be reviewed by district nodal officers on a block-by-block basis.

=> If the VLE’s CSC is not currently registered with the CSC, they will need to first register their CSC and then apply to become a CSC Academy center. In this case, the DC/DM will identify and inspect CSC Academy candidates (based on the CSC criteria) and get approval.

Eligibility Criteria for CSC Academy

Here is a summary of the eligibility criteria and minimum requirements for registering a CSC as a CSC Academy center:

• The CSC must have a minimum carpet area of 800 sq. ft.
• The center must have a reception desk, two computer lab classrooms, and a sitting capacity of at least 30 students in one of the classrooms.
• The Academy must have a sign display board (6ft x 3ft), a notice board, and at least 15 desktop computers or laptops with webcams and headphones.
• The center must have a printer, scanner, biometric device, and projector.
• The computers must have preferred license software for the operating system and MS Office or open source software.
• The Academy must have power backup (such as a UPS, inverter, or generator), and all systems must be connected to a LAN.
• The center must have internet connectivity with a minimum speed of 1 Mbps.
• The Academy must have at least one full-time and one part-time lab/teaching staff member.

Registration Fees for CSC Academy

The CSC VLE must pay a non-refundable registration fee of INR 5,000 (INR 4,237 + GST INR 763) from their CSC wallet for New CSC Academy Registration.

CSC Academy Best Practices

Here are some best practices, requirements, and standards for CSC Academy centers:

1. The Academy centers must display a CSC Academy signboard outside the center.
2. Centers must follow guidelines for wall coloring and records management, as well as any other standards that may be notified by state and district nodal officers from time to time.
3. Centers must comply with these uniformity standards within the specified time frame.
4. The central team of the Academy will conduct regular audits and verifications of the Academy centers to ensure that they are adhering to the standards.
5. If a CSC Academy center is found to be non-compliant, they may be terminated or given a time frame to come into compliance.

How to Apply for CSC Academy Online 2023

Before registration please check or ask your CSC DM, if Academy Block Level is available in your block or not.

1. Go to the CSC Academy Official website: http://onboard.cscacademy.org/Academy/index.html
2. Log in with your CSC ID and password.
3. Enter your basic details, including your name, mobile number, email address, and address. Also, upload photos of your center and a signed affidavit.
4. An Affidavit should be printed on Rs 10/- stamp paper (Rupees Ten Only) and notarized. Each page should be duly signed including the stamp paper page.
5. Click “Continue” and pay the INR 5,000 registration fee from your CSC wallet. Download the receipt.
6. After you have completed these steps, the state team will conduct a physical verification of your CSC. If the verification is successful, the CSC central team will consider providing provisional approval for your CSC to be certified as a CSC Academy center.
